NFL Keeper League

Anyone interested in doing an NFL keeper/dynasty league here like the hockey and baseball ones?
 
I have no idea how a dynasty league would work for NFL (or even if the exist )... I am in a keeper league right now where we can protect 3 players on our roster.
 
might be... just left my other keeper NFL league because of some shady dealings going on.

Will basically depend on cash flow later in the summer

With the lack of a farm system I think it could be very interesting to have a college draft so we can have a farm system of some sort. Like all sophomores or older are available in the college draft. Or something like that.

I love the farm system idea, its what I had envisioned all along ... Like in our hockey league, when an NFL farm players hits x number of games he must be kept on the active NFL roster or released. You get to have an FI draft after the actual draft.

Have lots of time to work out details etc but its a cool idea

Yes, cause the NFL doesn't have a farm system, so you would actually draft guys while they're still in college.

I think our own draft every year after the NFL draft would be good.
I have no clue about guys in college that are 2 years away from the actual draft. I have a hard enough time keeping up on the guys being drafted in any current year :)
 
Fair enough... I'm already in 3 football keeper leagues. If this one is not basically just another version of those leagues I am probably out. If we can find a way to make it better I'd be in.
 
Ok... so lets hear some ideas and formats.

How deep do you want the league?
PPR ?
2 QB league?


Does everyone like the idea of having a NFL roster and a minor league pool where you can only have players with X number of games or less?

Any and all ideas. We go from there.
 
Some things I'd like to see.

Points league
1 QB, 4 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE
At least 6 and maybe as many as 10 bench spots
You can protect all of your players and only drop them if you are adding new players
10 minors spots in year one, 15 in year two and top out at 20 in year three
Players are minors eligible until they play their 33rd NFL game


That's just a few things off the top of my head.
