Official 2016 NHL Draft Thread

If we manage to pull off something and a change at either Puljujarvi or Tkatchuk, I just hope it doesn't cost us like both our 1st round picks. There will be a player involved for sure. One or more of our d prospects are certainly going to be offered in anything, if alone to keep the other pick. We have a little depth and losing one of thse guys, say Murphy or Jordan ;) wouldn't hurt. Kidding aside, who really knows. It takes two to tango. For all RFs try, assuming he does try to do something, he has to find a willing dance partner and come up with a deal that doesn't touch our core but offer something valuable in exchange to move up. I am hoping we can get the Finn, personally. Either of them. Winnipeg has depth at forwards already from previous deals, who knows.
 
Oh Dubois is a guy I would love to have in the fold and could see him and Nicolas Roy having a nice year in Charlotte and more. Dubois is very very solid pedigree. Really disciplined and constanstly works to improve his game. There's a steadiness there and man's poise to his game I see consistently that I don't see really much from the other prospects. He's a smart and mature talent. Very dynamic and effective in all parts of his game.
 
Ooohhh....so there it is, teed up for Ronnie to trade for the 4th overall pick.

Not at all surprised by these first picks. Maturity and poise over everything so far and drafting where each team needs. So far.
 
Jost or Brown were the two centers to go get, a bit of a letdown to see them gone! Trade down now and get more picks or prospects!
 
Put in the happy with the pick camp. He's a great defenseman, do it all, in all situations, positional stick active defender. Was 9 days short of being eligible for next years draft, so I am thinking, he's not for now. Has decent height at 6.1.

Bean, eh? OK. I guess. He's going to take some time to finish cooking so we're going to have to wait and see if this was really good value or not. On the upside, with what we have in front of him, the Canes have plenty of time to be patient with this one. On the downside, God knows how badly we could have used one of those two big centers that went right before Carolina selected. Ugh. Frustrating
 
Would be nice if either Bellows or Gauthier lands at our selection and would be happy with those two, very happy as our picks.
