I'll read the story, sure. then I'll decide if it remains newsworthy, and not just newsworthy but as the leading story, while the GOP try to decimate medicaid and illegally deport people in contravention of court orders.

Trump news fatigue is real. People have gotten desensitized from the endless negative publicity that he gets. I don't think choosing to ignore every other story would actually do any good.

okay I read the story. I don't think I learned much of anything new - everything in there was previously reported in some form or another. there may be some new and unique quotes but the big picture is unchanged...

explain it to me like I'm a six-year old, why is this NOW such a big deal?

this is not a new story though. we've been hearing this since... 2020...

and the New Yorker story doesn't actually confirm anyone lied about it. there's one quote from Clooney which suggests that he did.

plus, as the story shows, many folks thought he was fine.
