I never knew him to drink at all until the last few months when he discovered Old Fashioned's and now he fancies himself a connoisseur.

No American made whiskey is better than a Scottish or Irish one. Canadian rye is just a different thing and a matter of preference. But dont tell me that JD is better than Oban, Bushmills or Glenfiddich.
