Costco asks for ID...
Does it? All they ask me for is my Costco MEMBERSHIP card, I guess it has my picture on it......

Would the US take Costco membership cards? If so, I think a lot more people would be ok with voter ID, but I think they want to only use passports or official "Trump" IDs

Was cautiously optimistic when this started up but I think the underlying truth remains undefeated. There are no modes of transportation that don't require input and subsidization from the government. If automakers had to build their own roads for people to use their product they would go bankrupt. Ditto with airlines and airports. Bicycle manufacturers aren't required to pay for bike paths, etc.

Rail is just a superior option for a wide variety to trip types and needs to be invested in by public entities for them to work.

Maybe he eats at the Costco food court more than he should.

All of these arguments are besides the point. This is all just taking the perpetrators propaganda at face value. Republicans aren't remotely worried about the fairness and security of elections, they're clearly only concerned about new and exciting mechanisms they can use to subvert them. Actual election fraud is so fucking rare in the US that it's not worth talking about. No one is out there impacting elections by sending gangs of illegals to vote. There are however multiple places in the country that throw people (by people, I mean usually black or brown people) off of the voter roles without notifying them, shortly before an election in an attempt to try to get the result the Republicans want in that upcoming election.

If they're able to get a voter ID law passed, you can bet your nuts that they would be identifying the type of ID being used more often by people they don't want voting, the screeches of fraud would begin again and the next legislation would be to get rid of that piece of ID. If it was using some sort of national voting card you can again bet your nuts that within a voting cycle or two there would only be a few locations to apply for that card and it would be as far from every black/brown majority neighbourhood as they could possibly get it.

Voter fraud is a problem made up by people trying to rig elections, full stop.
