Yep, they call it "emotional cheating"

What an immense load of shit that is. It's basically requiring the spiritual neutering of a man.
 
I agree with Holmes, there needs to be penetration for cheating but he is also right, women see anything we do that doesn't involve them as cheating. Hell, some even consider checking out other chicks to be cheating.
 
I used to think it was all about honest - that anything you had to be dishonest about was cheating.

But then I learned that chicks don't even really want honesty in the end, even though they think they do.

I wouldn't consider it cheating. It's not cheating. It's definitely a point of concern that needs to be discussed in a relationship, but cheating is specific imo. If there's no physical contact, it's not cheating. We start moving into a dangerous emotional area where everything is grey that women live in if we allow that to be called cheating.

Those type of actions are all preludes to cheating, but they're not cheating.

I won't see my GF for another couple of months. Before I left, she took a pretty realistic stance on being apart for so long, and told me that IF I did hook up with someone else, I had to wear a condom, and tell her about it.

Only one of those things will happen.

They don't want to know.

I agree with this to an extent, but not always. You can definitely put yourself in or take yourself out of situations that will lead to "opportunities"
