I guess God just really wanted Exxon to be able to operate in Russia.

for the 2nd night in a row, Russian bombers invade Alaskan airspace.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/04/19/russian-bombers-again-fly-near-alaska.html

For the second consecutive night, Russia flew two long-range bombers off the coast of Alaska on Tuesday, this time coming within 36 miles of the mainland while flying north of the Aleutian Islands, two U.S. officials told Fox News.

The two nuclear-capable Tu-95H bombers were spotted by U.S. military radar at 5 p.m. local time.

Unlike a similar incident Monday night, this time the U.S. Air Force did not scramble any fighter jets.

Instead, it launched a single E-3 Sentry early warning aircraft, known as AWACS, to make sure there were only the two Russian bombers flying near Alaska, and not other aircraft flying underneath the large bombers.

U.S. territorial waters extend 12 nautical miles from shore. Two Russian bombers flew within 100 miles of Alaska on Monday night.

The tough part about bluffing is what you're willing to do after everyone knows that you'll bluff in certain situations. NK put a nuclear test on the shelf when it was believed that the "armada" was in SK waters. As the old saying goes: “There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

Pretty confident the Chinese, Russians (and quite a few others) had through various intelligence sources and methods a very good idea of the USS Carl Vinson's position and track--and likely both would have let North Koreans know it was nowhere near the peninsula in order to reduce risks.

Without saying too much, Canada knew where the Vinson was.

So NK pushed back a nuclear test to maintain the facade?

That has more to do with the Chinese than the 'armada'.

It's surprisingly hard to hide a Carrier Air Group. Especially one that isn't exactly hiding.

The Canadians and especially the Australians knew exactly where it was, and I'm sure that the Chinese and Russians have a multitude of ways to track carrier air groups operating in their backyard. The Russians, and especially the Chinese have reason to try to calm tensions as much as possible, thus I would not be the least bit surprised if they tipped off the north about the location of the Vinson.

Now Kim is a paranoid Mofo, so he may not have trusted the sources of information and acted on the assumption that Russia and china were trying to play him, but I would bet dollars to donuts that the Chinese are putting a hell of a lot of pressure on NK right now and that had more to do with the canned test that this 'armada'
