I can't begin to express how ridiculous this question is. Nobody from the alt left or alt right is assembling to murder people.

Your scenario is about silencing people, not free speech. The scenario you described only exists in places like Saudi Arabia.
 
Nice cop out. I never said they're assembling TO murder people, but they are assembling with the intention of saying how certain people should be murdered. I'm not even looking for them, and I've seen maybe a dozen videos of people in the crowds with Nazi insignias saying how they need to get rid of the Jews. Then there was a Vice interview with a couple (while holding their children) saying that all the Jews need to be wiped out, including the children. And there was even one that had a guy saying he was prepared to kill people on the left.

It's all just talk right? No problem with them saying the Jews should be wiped out?

And if that's okay, there shouldn't be a problem with a group trying to assemble a crowd saying that you should be wiped out, right?

I don't support anyone threatening a genocide.

Why get all worked up over a handful of losers spewing hateful nonsense? Who cares what they say? They don't have power. They aren't the government. They are a minority among white conservatives.

Just for the record, one of my favorite movies is Munich. I love the Jews.

I'm glad, but this isn't just about the Jews.

The issue is that these expressions of free speech are rooted in calls for violence. You can't peaceably rally for Nazism and not be full on trying to incite people to commit acts of violence. And who cares what a handful of people say? Handfuls of people can do a lot of damage, like take down World Trade Centers. They also can spread their garbage and infect others, which they will do over time if they are allowed to continue spewing. You have to stamp out this shit - one group calling for the destruction of another without any cause or provocation - before it is allowed to build steam.

If we say it's okay to rally and speak their minds on this subject, we're basically saying that this is an okay thing to tolerate in society if they ever gather up a majority to act on it. You can't allow this sort of shit to be spread into society and pick up followers and other lunatics looking for a cause. Even if it just stays as it is, these people are threats to law abiding citizenry and society as a whole.

So to think, "oh, who cares what that madman is saying?" is careless and wrong. And before you know it, it will be a full-fledged ****ing movement that could snowball out of control, as it has in many countries over the course of many centuries. I honestly can't even believe there were this many assembled white power ****s that were brave enough to come out of the woodwork. It does really feel like the seeds are being planted for some modern civil war at some point if this insanity is allowed to continue.
 
Gotta admit I hate Trump, but this crapping on him for looking at the eclipse is a little much. He wore glasses, took them off and stared at it for a second. It actually gives people who claim the media is biased against him ammo.
This will be the one time I defend him BTW.
