OT: American Politics

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

If anyone would be in a position know about the infidelities of rich white men/women... I wonder which one of us it would be.

Pretending it's just women is being willfully ignorant.

Oh no...the troops support Hopey.

How will KB and the GOP fools spin this negatively?

http://news.yahoo.com/weary-warriors-favor-obama-131752838.html

You read some fluff piece and took away what? The love obami?

*Overall, like the rest of the nation, former soldiers are deeply concerned about the future. Only 24 percent in the Reuters poll said the country is headed in the right direction, with 60 percent saying it is off on the wrong track.

*Asked about Obama's handling of his job, 27 percent of veterans approved, and 37 percent disapproved, with the rest undecided.

Any more garbage conclusions or is that it?

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

I actually have a theory about income levels and fidelity that I would be interested to see if it's true. I suspect that women in high income areas are more likely to cheat and men in low income areas are more likely to cheat than the opposite sex in both instances.

Mostly due to concepts of individual rights set out in the Enlightenment, I suspect. But with regards to labour market participation specifically, it was due to the pill. It was a massive, sudden change. The evidence is public information and is overwhelming.

i would say the world wars had as much if not more to do with it.

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

Mmm, not sure about that. Women in high income families might turn a blind eye to their husbands doing it so that they can keep a nice lifestyle. Those chicks then get it too.

I don't think there is a correlation between income and fidelity. At least not in my practice.

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

A large majority of people who don't cheat or don't change partners its mostly because they have no choice and nobody else would want them.

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

I'd say there is 20% of people where that is the case (they don't look good or they dont have the skills to get other people...so it's somewhat no choice/somewhat lack of skills) then about 20% of people who just want one partner. And then the rest who cheat.

Marriage, ain't what it use to be.....

So gay people are about equal to animals?

It's funny how some people view two consenting adults being married is the equivalent to a person "marrying" an animal or a child who clearly cannot legally consent to marriage.

More stupid presumptions on what is clearly a sarcastic post?

The local Dollar Store has a two for one sale on humour........:rolleyes(2):

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

Never.

If you want someone else or can't be faithful don't be in a relationship IMO. Too many people get suckered into being into a committed relationship due to peer pressure when they don't want to sub-consciously or if they are incapable of fidelity. Not trying to be judgmental but people need to assess these situations more thoroughly before hurting others.
