Bridal party was definitely out of hand, there is fault there...but shit. Its kinda hilarious though because that guy absolutely decked that cop for punching his wife/girlfriend...if those people are black everyone is getting shot after that.

Actually the dumb dumb was trying to peel the cops taser or service weapon off of his hip, if you believe the alternative footage from the nearby CCTV. Escalation here was coming fast and furious, from both dumb sides.

Of course, this did occur in Rhode Island so there's a definite Family Guy vibe to this video.

She is, but this is the problem in escalating every situation and going in with overwhelming force as a doctrine.

This all started when one of the wedding party members got into an altercation with staff at the location. Police were called, dude was arrested.

But how much ya wanna bet the cops went overboard arresting the member of the party because it makes their dick hard and it set off that lovely chain of events?
 
Yeah, that was… unwise.

Still, it seems unlikely that punching and kicking a few out of control wedding guests was the best way to handle the situation.

100%. These folks are clearly drunk and being idiots. But dealing with drunk idiots is kind of the job. And I'm pretty sure the standard operating procedure doesn't say "match their energy"

And at the same time, trying to pull a cops gun off his hip is Darwin Award candidate stuff.
