I am just now dealing with the bullshit Canadian system for the first time and being gaslit by Porter about it. I intend to exhaust every avenue available to me to get the compensation to which I am entitled, but fuck is it gonna be a damn chore.

Meaningless when airlines get to define the parameters of terms like "on time" or "delayed". They decide when the clock starts. I've been on planes that technically landed "on time" but didn't pull up to the gate and open the hatch for another 45 minutes, usually at Pearson.

Paul Manafort said only losers pay of their debts. So he’s a enthusiastic deadbeat. It got complicated, however, when he owed money to Russian gangsters with a propensity to leave people in shallow graves.
As for Trump, he has an iron clad zero sum mentality. If you are gaining, I must be losing. Mutually beneficial exchange doesn’t exist.

this is just nuts to me. an Ivy league campus has essentially been taken hostage by an angry mob. who are now in negotiations for... what exactly remains unclear to me.
if only those young idealists had the same fervor and zealotry on behalf of Uighurs, Sudanese, Syrians, etc.

after 30 minutes on hold I was able to speak with someone who fixed the issue with my VIPorter account and at least gave me an email address I could reach out with my concern.
the previous rep told me that their online complaint system was down and I should just wait for it to be fixed to submit my claim. she had no timeline for when it would be fixed, and no way of notifying me once it is. and of course when you're online and trying to submit a claim, there is no indication that the system is not working. they're just deliberately wasting their customers' time with a system that does not allow you to submit a claim.
but if you want to complain to the tribunal about it, you need proof of written communications with the airline. and with their online system not working, there was no way for me to communicate with them in writing.
anyways, I just emailed a pdf of the complaint form to their customer service email. if I don't hear anything in 30 days, off to the Tribunal I go. and once they delay me exorbitantly, off to small claims court I go. likely to be a saga. but I am stubborn.
