There's a few things here to unpack. First and foremost, lol ffs. Second, he's kind of sort of not wrong in that as much as people don't want to hear it, when you're one of a few hundred people whose job it is to ensure the appropriate function of the country (and it's multi trillion dollar budget) you should probably make more than a software engineer with ~5 years experience. You invite corruption and bullshit when they're underpaid in comparison to their importance.

Third...buddy, try not to cry about working 140 days a year, jesus titty fucking christ. Yeah, the job should pay more, but it also shouldn't be part time ffs.
