Iran has no incentive to ever sign a deal with Dotard. Ever.
One: they know that whatever deal Dotard endorses is worth nothing. The instant he is done his victory lap, he will repudiate every element of it. Immediately.
Two: they can just coax this idiot into sending billions and billions more of US taxpayer money their way nonstop, forever, with the perpetual promise that he can “make a deal” with just a few billion more. It’s not his money, and he is never held to account, so why not?
The only leverage the US has left, having traded all of their credibility and soft power to massage Dotard’s ego, is to actually follow through on the nuclear holocaust threat. And really, does the Iranian regime care enough about the Iranian people to do what it takes to prevent that outcome? I fear they do not.
Smart people have been unable to get us out of pointless, protracted, destructive wars with evil adversaries for centuries. Now we’re finding out what happens when the stupidest among us are in charge.
