Won't make much of a difference, they are a mediocre team with a decent QB and a bad one without one.
Best, possibly, but not by far.
Duron Carter, SJ Green, Samuel Giguere, Nik Lewis, Kenny Stafford, with Alex Charette & Cody Hoffman as backups.
According to Jim Popp he did go after Harris. He just didn't get him.The thing is we've seen Kevin Glenn, and he is what he is... a bottom tier CFL QB who has some great games, but is wildly inconsistent. He can have good games, but eventually his interception problem will crop up and it will bite him in the ass. Thats who he is.
I don't understand why the Als didn't go after Trevor Harris. He was the young QB they needed, and he proved how good he is last year. He's way more accurate than Glenn.
Hard to believe he'd take a one year backup job if a starters job was offered unless ottawa gave way more money.According to Jim Popp he did go after Harris. He just didn't get him.
Well, obviously.
But if Glenn stays healthy all year, I don't see any reason the Als shouldn't be one of the top teams in the CFL. Great defense again with no major losses through retirement or free agency, awesome receiving core, an already good D-Line got a big boost with Vaughn Martin... Only real question mark is the O-Line again. Josh Bourke is gone to Toronto and he was one of the best left guards in the CFL. The starting center, Luc Brodeur-Jourdain, is going to miss the start of the year. Don't know how Jacob Ruby is going to play, but we'll see. The starting O-Line still remains old. Blake is 30, LBJ is 32 and his replacement Dominic Picard is 33, Matte is 30, Perrett is 30... With the exception of Ryan White, the rest of the O-Line are young & unproven.
If Glenn doesn't stay healthy, the Als will be like any other team that loses their starting QB: Dead. Hamilton was the best team in the CFL until they lost their QB and their season sank like a rock.
Glenn is a Mediocre at best QB, and Popp is a terrible coach. Add some injuries on offence, some inexplicable cuts on defence, and you have a recipe for a dumpster fire of a season.
I guess the Alouettes must suck ass this year. Not many posts about them.
No one has yet figured out how to work a Subban reference into the thread, is all.
