OT: CFL Thread

Re: OT: CFL Thread 2011

This doesn't sound very good...

"Despite two top teams and cool but comfortable summer night, Percival Molson Stadium was not full. The crowd was announced at 22,317 for the 25,012-seat facility, the first time Montreal has not sold out since June 25, 2002, which was also against B.C. It ended a string of 105 straight sellouts."

I wouldn't look much into it. It's a long weekend, it was the night before moving day in Montreal and the team has 10 new players, so they are kind of in a rebuilding mode. The CFL has been around for 100 years, its not going anywhere.

Re: OT: CFL Thread 2011

What a job by Barker in turning around the Argos franchise. Although the missed field goals by Calgary cost them.

Re: OT: CFL Thread 2011

Yup. Toronto not having a quarterback is going to be their down fall, but they're very good defensively.

The way I look at Montreal not selling out is a multitude of things.

-Moving around downtown is hell
-Public transportation around where the Als play is garbage
-Long weekend
-It looked like it was going to rain yesterday night

It'll be a big red flag if they don't sell out their next home game, though.

Re: OT: CFL Thread 2011

Funny how I like seeing Toronto teams lose, no matter the sport, league, circumstance.

so c/mon Winnipeg, make my day.
