I play COD on the xbox - for FPS it blows the PS3 out of the water. Also, like Hoss said, you get access to everything earlier on xbox.. which is kind of a big deal for COD.

If you don't play FPS games, then the PS3 will suit your needs as much as the xbox. If you have a need for a blueray player, then that's another plus for PS3.

For me though I only play COD and it's xbox all the way.

Oh and by the way - I kick Hoss's ass at COD :smilewinkgrin:

C'mon dude many games have timed exclusives that come out on PS3 early. There's always extra content for the company willing to pay more. Sony had extra content for FC3 and AC3. And quite honestly, COD games are absolute pieces of turd. Some of the most overrated games in gaming history.

We're not talking about release dates... we're talking about map packs or updates. And I understand peoples dislike of COD, but myself and blueman get the itch alot. I started to not like Black ops 2 alot, but I know I'll be getting the new maps next week. (damn you treyarch and activision) .

I find MW3 the better game than black ops 2. (played it again last night in a long time. )

My COD KDR is 1.11 right now, but I started playing MW3 about 4-5 months after it came out and got absolutely owned for the first few months while learning the maps and that really dragged down my ratio for a while. Just got my 15,000 kill about a week ago.

For a change I've been akimbo magnum'em it up for the past few weeks. Fun stuff!

I played mw3 for maybe 5 months then got bored of it. Same thing happened with mw2.

I'm also not the type of person who can sit in front the game for hours on end. After an hour I get bored of shooting people.

I've been looking for other games, I would like to try some car racing ones and was curious about LA Noire.

Any suggestions? Oh I have a ps3

LA Noire is not a racing game, you basically solve crimes. There is a usually a crime scene, you look for clues, interview the suspects and try and score a confession. I liked the game, thought it wasn't great but not bad either. Definitely unique.

I adapt pretty easily to whatever controller I'm using. If I can use the N64 controller effectively I can use anything.

I bought Uncharted 2 again (15 bucks) because I realized it is an awesome game.

I think I was going to give Farcry 3 a try but I have Max payne 3 on the xbox that I abandoned so I think I'll go back and finished that.

Also Arkham Asylum was awesome..... I have given up a little on Arkham city.

I just finished Uncharted 3 over the holidays as well as Max Payne 3 which is a great game. Really like the style of the Uncharted series. I think I'll go back and play 2 again if I can find it for cheap.

I got Arkham Asylum for xmas (best way to buy games is to wait a while and pick them up used for 10-20, I gave a list of games I wanted and got a stack over the holidays 6 or 7 of em). Still getting into Arkham Asylum but like what I have played.

Picked up Little Big Planet which is awesome. My girlfriend got Journey for Christmast- The graphics and soundtrack in this game are sick -[video=youtube;5NlVttFRPpU]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NlVttFRPpU[/video]

Been playing Skyrim on and off for about a year now, took the summer off and picked it back up again in the fall (more of a winter game) got over 120 quests down, the main dragon born quest and 4 of the 7 side quests done (fairly close to finishes the final 3) The game blows me away every time I play it. Such and awesome game. Put in 3 long 8 hour sessions over the holidays. One of those games that you can't play for an hour cos you'll never accomplish anything (or at least feel like your getting somewhere).

Also got Just Cause 2, fun game to pick away and very GTA'ish in the sense that you can just dick around and explore. Beautiful game.

What's the story on why they're so late in getting out DLCs (in the case of the latest one, it doesn't look like it'll ever come out for the PS3) for the PS3? It ain't worth the twenty bucks retail (Dawnguard) but you can always pick it up onsale at times for ten bucks. Granted, with the hundred+ hours of gaming on Skyrim, you probably aren't missing anything (unless you play the game non-stop for like forever - haven't done that since the days of Diablo 2).

I ended up going with a PS3. I appreciated everyone's input but the advice that resonated the most with me was "**** it and buy both"...but though that didn't make sense for me today, I intend on having both shortly (out west for 6 of the next 7 weeks starting Thursday, so I'll grab the other when I get back)

I had owned a 360 before and knew the deal with them, so I said **** it, I'll get the one I've never had before.

Got NHL 13 and a God of War pack with it

Thank you kindly to everyone who weighed in on this, I appreciate the assistance.
