Re: OT: favourite Youtube videos
I just posted this in the soccer thread and thought I;d repost here since #1 - it's really good... and #2 - non soccer fans who don't frequent that thread may enjoy this... not on youtube but it should be imo:
I haven't really watched the games but I wanted to mention the CBC special they have after the late night games (think it's Sat and/or Sun nights).
The "Africa on the Move" documentary CBC put together is fantastic. I know canadian tv is pretty awful and leaves a lot to be desired, but CBC hit it out of the park with this one.
In case you missed them, you can view the episodes here.. I only watched parts 2 and 3, and they're just excellent. And I think another part is coming this weekend - they'll have the 4th and final part on the web soon:

I Love the rapper and what he does for his people. Raising awareness, building schools with his concert proceeds so kids can learn how to read and write.. and he's just an all out fantastic human being.. Love how when he received a handful of US 100 dollar bills at his feet (literally) from that politician, he threw the money at the poor concert goers.. He just won't be bought under any circumstances.
just love that guy with his strong mind and just how he carries himself as an individual.
And another warrior in that other part there.. who goes from the city to the countryside to support his family and friends.. owns a safari business.. it's just excellent.
I'll stop now, I don't want to ruin it.
CBC handpicked some special people in this doc, and did a great job with it.. Had some very nice angles with good perspectives. This is something I will save to show my son when he's older.. and our daughter soon (as this program was late at night when I was watching it, past her bedtime).
