OT: Movies/TV Shows

Been rewatching Star Wars flicks lately with my kid. The Phantom Menace is still atrocious 20 years later. Oof.

Saw Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker on Friday. They tried to sew some stuff up, it was ok, not great mind you but ok. My youngest bawled her eyes out at the end, a little too emotionally invested in Star Wars me thinks.

Saw it last night with my wife. Worth seeing in 3D if you have the choice. Visually stunning.

I became a Rick and morty fan from the advice when it came out from posters on here. This season I felt had some less quality episodes, but the last two were amazing.
Rickstar Ricklactica was incredible on how deep they went with the snake society, terminator, time travel story line was genius.

Watch it if you can

That new Rambo film sucked. It's too bad that'll very likely be the last one. It doesn't feel like John Rambo at all. He goes on these long speeches and has actual real cobnversations.
Rambo from 08 is fantastic and got it perfectly.

Went to Rise of Skywalker on Christmas day. I'm a total mark for Star Wars so I loved it.
I don't see how.

Spoiler ahead

The death star blew up into a million little pieces above endor, yet a quarter of it ended up in an ocean on a moon, still intact, broken in a way that matched up with a dagger that pointed the way to a secret vault with an intact wayfinder that seems to be activated by a blood relative of the emperor?

Then kylo finds an intact TIE fighter insider this piece of the death star that is fully intact, good enough to fly to a secret Sith base(without hyperdrive no less) that has an armada that dwarfs anything the first order built with each ship equipped with a planet killing weapon manned by a clone army that had to equal what was happening in kamino to man the entire fleet, raise them to adulthood all the while pulling the puppet strings for Snoke?

Man, I was so done watching this turd halfway through, and the only saving grace was that I didn't need to pay to watch it.

Spoilers

Death star blew up, over endor, reduced to atoms, yet a quarter, a third of it ends up on Kef Bir intact enough to house palpatines thrown, secret vault, and a functioning TIE fight equipped with a hyperdrive?(Note to the writers, TIE fighters didn't have hyperdrives)

Come on, this was really lazy writting.

Halfway through the Witcher. Initially felt it was kinda lame and a lazy ripoff of Thrones, but it’s actually pretty entertaining. I love Cavill in everything so I had to see it through. He’s so good.

I suppose it would be a good flick to the simple minded who couldn't give two shits about star wars, lore, and Canon.

Too bad people like you miss the entire point of star wars.

A New Hope was great despite the planet size weapon getting destroyed by one fighter blast.
