OT: Movies/TV Shows

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

Your heart will still explode when you are 50 whether your nuts shrink or not.

Everyone, including Arnold has had heart problems. Then think that Arnold did hardly anything compared to the stacks the guys are taking now.

I don't think that vanity is worth the long term health risks.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

The cameos are what ruins it for me. I love the show because everyone can relate to sitting around with their buddies watching sports, drinking beer, and chirping each other. The more they hang out with NFL players/owners the less I enjoy it.

It's funny you mention that WP, as I was thinking the same thing when I watched it......it takes away from it when they shoehorn in all these cameos with non-actors who invariably can't even pretend to be themselves very well.

Having said that, the show while funny....isn't exactly the height of quality television itself. Even in the rank of half hour comedies, the calibre of acting, writing etc is fairly average at best.....that said, the premise carries it fairly far, and i enjoy hanging out with that gang for 22 mins at a time.

Long term, regular usage is obviously dangerous. So is long term regular eating of shit food, etc, etc, etc.

If you live an otherwise healthy life, a cycle now and again isn't going to impact you negatively. The guys dropping at 40-50 years old are typically steroid abusers.

You realize that Arnold was born with a heart condition, right?

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

Yeah it's definitely not meant to be taken remotely serious at any point. The people are caricatures at best.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

I agree that the cameos take away the realism ( whatever realism there was) and relateability of the show.

However very entertaining

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

It's one of the few shows that makes me laugh myself silly. The premiere of S4 was no exception.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

Much better than the first trailer...

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

Has Leo done a Speilberg film? because that mf'er has done movies by Scorsese, Tarantino, Nolan, Eastwood, Mendes, Ridley Scott.. all in the last 5 years.. WTF???

And a quick search on IMDB shows that yes he has worked with Speilberg... Catch me if you can.. (which is an awesome movie)

He had some brief work with Woody Allen as well. James Cameron.

I mean this guy has literally worked with the greatest film makers of this generation. Who would you consider is left??

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

Saw Moonrise Kingdom and Savages on the plane yesterday. Really enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom. Savages was alright. Benicio Del Toro plays an excellent scumbag.

He and Hayek made that film IMO...the kids in the lead were dull....and there is something too trashy about Blake Lively for my taste......i feel like there should be warnings about not licking that.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

yeah... kubrick, PT, speilberg... has he worked with tarantino? scorcese?

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

I know I went on about it a few weeks back, but Tom's performance for Kubrick in 'Eyes Wide Shut' was really spectacular.....easily one of his best performances to date, imo.
