OT: Movies/TV Shows

Vikings is awesome so far. Really enjoying the character development and exposition to date. Shit's about to get real in the fourth episode too judging by the preview.

Really enjoying Alien Mysteries on Discovery Channel as well. It's primarily been a Canadian production and there are a few cases I hadn't heard of previously coming to light on the program.

Highlight for spoilers:

My guess for the other two would be Aegon Targaryen and Jon Snow (still not buying that he died for good at the end of the last book, and I personally subscribe to the theory that his real parents are Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark). But considering how obvious both of those choices seem on the surface, George R. R. Martin will probably kill them both off.

Highlight for more spoilers:

What about Bran warging into one of the dragons? After the last book, I could see that occurring. Also, I could see Tyrion riding one...

I didn't really like LOTR(didn't totally hate it either) but i definitely like GOT. Interesting stories, characters, beautiful scenery, fight scenes and so on...It's quite good imo.

Same.

I put off watching GoT for ages because it looked so much like LoTR, which I don't have much time for......but GoT, particularly season 1, is phenomenal.

When i heard about it and someone vaguely described it, i thought exactly the same thing..Good thing i decided to give it a shot.

Anyone watching House of Lies? Seen 5 episodes so far and not sure if i should keep going. Not terrible, just ok so far.

love the opening scene of GoT
had me hooked from that moment on

season 2 was very meh.... and im not sure this should be considered a spoiler but having the main character die was pure awesomeness

I'll admit to also being a holdout with GOT because of the mystic/LOTR seeming aspect. But, so far at least, it's not gotten too much about spells and magic and all that. There's been some of it but not to the point of LOTR or even Harry Potter where it's lame shooting lightning bolts across rooms as fights and stuff. I think I can deal with the White Walkers and the dragons and the odd bit of magic tilting the balance.

warging is the other big piece of 'magic'

i liked the non hobbit/ring parts of LOTR though

one of my favourite characters on TV....

Just flipping around TV and there is a show on ABC with celebrity diving....I can't tell if it is real or parody.

That huge comedian Louis Anderson is jammed into a wetsuit.

I can't believe they are playing this straight up.
