OT: Movies/TV Shows

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

One of the best decisions I've ever made was taking mushrooms before I saw 2001 for the first time.....

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

One of my worst ideas was taking mushrooms and then watching Deliverance.....I would not recommend this. The rape scene alone ****ed with me for a few days. That movie is a roller coaster of emotions, so ****ing intense towards the end.

The best part was that I had no idea what the movie was about......I clearly remember thinking "oh man this is awesome, canoe trip down the river, out in nature, this is amazing"...haha.

Shrooms are great. But yeah, environment is important. You don't want to start on a dark path of thought while on those.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

The last time i did shrooms was camping during a rainstorm....i left my campsite to go on a walk and returned hours later without pants.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

Saw "Argo" tonight. Solid film. I didn't quite like it as much as most critics, but still good. The wife liked it even more.

The last 30 minutes are the highlight. Fantastic ending.

It's got to be the shrooms. I was given some pucks just before heading into Molson Park (Barrie) for a concert. I am told that when I made it back to the parking lot that night I had my leather jacket, one sock...and nothing else. I do remember believing I was invisible.

Letting fear in while taking any drugs is not a good thing.

Quentin Tarantino hints Django Unchained trilogy

Quentin Tarantino has hinted 'Inglourious Basterds' and 'Django Unchained' are the first two parts of a trilogy.

The 49-year-old director says there ''might well'' be another film to follow on from the 2009 war movie - which starred Brad Pitt - and the forthcoming western movie because he regards them as a ''companion piece quality'', despite their obvious differences.

He told Total Film magazine: ''I don't know, 'Inglourious Basterds' and 'Django Unchained' bespeak a trilogy.

As different as they are, there is a companion piece quality. There might very well be a third one. I just don't know what it is yet.''

Quentin helmed and starred in 'Inglourious Basterds' and is due to do the same when 'Django Unchained' - which stars Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio - is released on January 23, 2013.

The director - who also starred in 'Death Proof' and 'Reservoir Dogs' - was so keen to make an appearance in 'Django Unchained' he even took some of the lines from one of his cast, Rex Linn, because he liked the look of a particular scene so much.

Rex said: ''Quentin told me that he liked the scene so much he wanted to be in it, too, and that he would also be taking some of my lines.

''So, you'll know the scenes when you see them. We'll be on the screen with Don Johnson and Jonah Hill. The scenes may not be long, but you will remember them.''

"Star Wars" episode seven will come out in 2015, Disney says

Reuters Top News @Reuters
This means, of course, that Disney is buying the Star Wars franchise, as Disney notes.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

I hate Tarantino's movies.

The guy is ridiculously overrated. Basterds sucked. Brad Pitt's accent was awful and the whole movie was just garbage.

Re: OT: Recent Movies You've Seen

"In 2015, we’re planning to release Star Wars Episode 7 – the first feature film under the “Disney-Lucasfilm” brand. That will be followed by Episodes 8 and 9 – and our long term plan is to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years"
