OT: Movies/TV Shows

It's not a direct sequel to Man of Steel. Man of Steel 2 will be that. This sets up Justice League, while also touching on the Bats/Supes DKR storyline.

It's all really just semantics......but I mean, this film was directly born out of the fact Snyder and Goyer were hired to make a Superman sequel immediately after the success of Man of Steel....they then decided it would be cool if they could incorporate Batman, and begun writing the script. DC also wisely decided they were going to build a proper DCU off Man of Steel and would use this to help launch it.

With Cavill, Adams, Lane, & Fishburne, etc all reprising their roles from MoS, as well as having Snyder & Goyer at the helm again....on top of that Lex Luthor is the primary villain and the events that closed MoS, are the primary events that this film builds around.......for me personally though, it takes some effort to pretend this isn't a Superman sequel.

It's all the DKR that makes one think it's not a Superman movie. The trailer makes me feel like they basically used the destruction in MoS to segue-way into a DC superhero movie...not Superman, not Batman, just DC.
We'll see.

It did look, from the trailer, that Bruce was there at ground zero when Supes was inadvertently destroying Metropolis in MOS.

His motivation here must be that Supes is a loose cannon and too powerful for his own good, and needs to be brought down.

His motivation is Supes destroying one of Wayne's business towers. Which starts Batmans constant distrust in superman and is the basis for justice league.

Personally I've always disliked Superman.
In a world where yes, you are supposed to suspend your disbelief, I could never get with the whole Clark Kent as a disguise...that and his basic immortality never sat well with me.

I mean, glasses? That's it?

I am glad I am not the only one, I mean the change of clothes thing, whatever, but as a superhero, I've always found Superman, and his movies and such fairly boring.

Give me Xmen anyday.

That's pretty impressive.

Are they really going to have Batman appear in it though? Seems a little unlikely for Affleck to make a cameo.

yeah the suicide squad clip shows batman on the jokers lambo just before harley says.. I hope you have insurance.

olaying the arkham knight game... and having a blast. I love the job they did with the joker in those games. Hamill is amazing, but I still like the humour and attitude of the traditional joker character. I ain't sure about the whole... ' I ain't gonna kill you, I'm just going to hurt you really really bad " line. I mean I like the joker always looking for the sense of humour in things. Ledger really did a fantastic job of showing the psycho side, while still adding funny lines.

I hope this continues.

Hey Montana, you play the arkham knight game yet? The Jason Todd story line in pretty interesting with the Joker.
