OT: Movies/TV Shows

Dansons late career revival was already in motion well before Damages rolled around......it was Curb Your Enthusiasm & Bored To Death, that put him back on people's radars.

Damages was more the result of his resurgence, than the cause.

I stand corrected.

Damages was the first time I personally had seen him since his failed sitcoms and it was a new light for me.

So while his resurrsgance was well on his way as you said, Damages was the first time I had seen it. And in Damages, he was pretty awesome. Lol.

Failed sitcoms?

Cheers went for 11 years
Becker for 6 years

That's pretty damn successful. I suppose there was probably one or two short lived sitcoms in the too.

I wanted Ten Danson to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and Half Men. I don't think the show would have lost much. They are really similar in terms of being able to say something in a certain way that makes it funny (no matter what they are saying), and he can also play those arrogant/full of himself types really well.

That actually could have been brilliant.

Or terrible.

2 and a Half Men was dead n garbage before Sheen left.

Well it got great ratings for many years so obviously it's just not for everyone. I have watched(or in some cases tried to watch) pretty much every comedy show and that was one of the best ones. I like that sense of humor because it's simple yet at times it sounds hilarious. The thing is i also find the nerds(in the Big Bang Theory) hilarious as well and so it seems Chuck Lorre knows what most fans like(and that show is up there with ratings). For the very popular show Community i saw over a season of it and couldn't get into it. Hate when people try so hard and it's obvious that they're acting. It should happen naturally so whether you're a drunk(like Sheen always was) there's little to no acting involved. But anyways...

Wow, you found Sheen's acting natural...

You sir, are the reason network TV is a complete wasteland. I say this with the intention to help and assist you. Not to mock.
