OT: NBA Thread

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Last night, Paul Pierce tweeted: It's been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach...

lol.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Celtics are on a mission...but they need the O'Neals to be healthy to weather the storm until Perkins comes back...

The bench also needs to step up....to allow the Garnetts, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo to be rested for the playoffs...

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

How about Kevin Love's 31 rebounds, 31 points last night.

He became the first player to post a 30-30 game since Moses Malone in 1982, more than six years before Love was even born.

Who would have thought it would take some honky to break the streak :)

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

did you guys hear about that baby that died at the lakers game? fell out of the pressbox or something.

how the hell did the raptors beat the celts the other night without the guys they acquired from the trade and obviously the guys they traded away.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

"99% sure there will be a lockout next summer" according to the NBA Players head union guy... and our guy Gary will be watching and taking notes from his friend Mr. Stern.

I'm not a big NBA fan but I would love to watch a Boston-Miami playoff series next spring... and I will be rooting for the guys in green all the way.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

ohhh please....Gasol and the refs gave it to them....that and the Celts just stopped playing in the 4th quarter of game 7...

And they are back to their old selves again....taking big leads and sitting back in the 4th....reminds me of a hockey team we know:sarcasm

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

I doubt it. Kobe's game only got more ballin with a rape allegation. Imagine what he would do with Eva rumors. 30+ PPG... pure domination.

And speaking of the Heat, how bout this: without Haslem, the Heat now lack a rebounder within the top 37 in the NBA. Since Haslem left, injured, the Heat have been out rebounded 64-44, down in offensive rebounds 20-7, outscored 27-10 in second chance points, LBJ and Bosh are on pace for career lows in boards, the team is dead last in the NBA in points from the paint with 33 per game. Wade had his WORST shooting game in his career last night with 1/13 field goals, 1/5 free throws, and a total of 3 points.

I know that's just a tiny sample of an 82 game season, but for a team who was practically dubbed invincible and was all but handed the title from the get go... that's a scary, scary sample.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Sure Kobe was all business after the rape complaint came out because he had to hold off the wife from divorcing him but I am sure Eva would have his mind full of mush as she courted him during the playoffs. Just look what she did to her gardener... poor guy thought she was in love with him.

Ah... I love Eva so that is the reasoning behind the silly response.

Actually I would like for Steve Nash to be traded to Dallas so that he and buddy Dirk, can take a run at the Lakers machine.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Haslem is gone for the year too.

Like I said... I am not much of an NBA fan but I would love to watch the Heat get eliminated by some team next spring. If only the Cavs could go farther.
