OT: NBA Thread

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

I think unfortunately for everyone, the Heat are eventually going to figure this out and start beating up on other teams with regularity. You can't have 3 guys with that much talent and lose half your games...doesn't add up in the long run.

Why not ?

It worked that way for the Rangers when they had every superstar on their team....Jagr, Kovalev, Bure, etc

But we are talking about 3 out of a starting 5. Not five or six of a team of 19.

I am not saying they will win the championship, but heck they will not finish 41-41, no way.

Sooner or later they will find the missing 2 or 3 pieces and kick ass.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Having a winning record and not winning a title isn't much better than having a .500 record and not winning a title. Fact is... the Heat have 2 superstars and a 3rd wheel, but they have nobody who's willing to go up for rebounds consistently (especially now that Haslem is out for the haul), they have no defense inside the perimeter, they're playing Bosh out of place, trying to run offenses that don't compliment LeWade's style (yeah it's a combination of the two ****s) and just aren't that great of a team mold. They may be a decent team in the regular season, but when they have to face GOOD teams (maybe I should have put TEAM in all caps) for a 7 game series... they're gonna be in trouble. Their weaknesses are easily exploited by good teams. It's no coincidence that they're beating sub .500 teams on the regular and losing to above .500 teams on the regular. They might "figure it out," but they certainly won't waltz their way through multiple championships. They'll be lucky to win one at this rate. This team won't be able to stay in tact for the duration of the threesome's contracts. Especially when people get fed up with all the hype for mediocre results. Look at the Cavs... best regular season record in the league for multiple years doesn't mean SHIT if you don't win a title.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Here's one of my many videos from last night's game. This is the starting line up intros for both teams. I began recording JUST after they said Lebron, but you can still see him running on the court and hear the booing. Notice the cheering for Z. The audio quality isn't great because the building was so loud it was blasting the mic and coming across distorted. I'll be putting more videos up later (I'm a busy body on Friday nights so they may be later).

Enjoy!

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Cavs win! Cavs win! Cavs win! The 26 game losing streak is over.

Cavaliers - 126
L.A. Clippers - 119

Final OT

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

It's the Cavs first win since beating the N.Y. Knicks 109-102, also in OT, on Dec. 18, 2010.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Demar's 2nd dunk was the best so far...7 footers throwing down does little for me.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

yeah i believe Demar's second dunk was the best PURE dunk of it so far as well.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

Demar's 2nd was wicked and on the 1st attempt as well...Griffin is ridiculous though.

Re: OT: NBA Thread.

yeah Griffin is just sick in general... why couldn't the raps have the 1st pick that year????
