OT: The M-Fing Food Thread

you'd think with the billions$ Frito Lay has invested in junk food science, the chip industry would have landed on more than 4 decent flavours (BBQ and Salt/Vinegar don't count as innovation)

You would think, yeah. The best they seem to be able to do is iterate on the classics. Ketchup, S&V, BBQ, Dill, Sour Cream. Need a new flavour? Slightly alter BBQ to be some specific BBQ flavour. Make something "spicy", etc.

There is a mexican staple flavour that I'm surprised isn't used here more often. Every crunchy junk food down there has some sort of Chili & Lime flavour and it's crazy good.

I think Tostitos tried to do that

Every chip specialty flavor I’ve ever had was just overpowering. I kinda like the taste of salt and vinegar, less so ketchup, and the others not at all. But even those two, I could maybe only have a handful before feeling nauseous. In contrast, the regular plain ones I could eat forever.

Potato chips? Mmph.

Corn chips? 2-3 times a year, average, unless someone shows up with ridiculously great salsa or guac. No Fritos allowed.

That was an exclusive Costco collab about a year ago.

saw it downstream at No Frills a month ago. picked up the Pizza one. Pure shite. And I lurv chips in an unhealthy, addictive way.

They are weird, grant you that.

Ms. V standards are awesome. As are Covered Bridge.

What I like about baked lays is that they're paper thin.

The thicker the chip, the worse I feel about eating it, and pita chips are usually on the thicker side.
