Funny I've never experienced that myself. Then again, I'm white. That property is in the middle of nowhere. It seems odd to me that anyone would have a problem. I'm in "the wood" with all the rich people.

To be fair I'm not even sure it's a race thing at its core. I'm sure it doesn't help, but it's more of an in group/out group thing. Most people who have been north of Innisfil beach road for longer than 10 to 15 years takes a very dim view of anything from south of highway 9. The longer your family has been up here, the more it intensifies. Urban/rural divide.

Had that been 3.6 million in wage theft by shorting employees on hours, or 3.6 million of fake booked profits to increase "shareholder value" or any such corporate fuckery, the executive involved would get a public slap on the wrist from the company and then a promotion 6 months later. But because the money went down and not up, it's a fucking crime.
