OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

I'll tell you who might be worth a swing in the 2nd round on physical tools alone. Drake Powell. Put up a 43 inch vertical today and has that wingspan

Over 6'5 w/o shoes and a 7 foot wingspan? Shot 38% from 3, and the nerdies liked him despite him being strictly a role player at NC.

Some hot takes based on the combine results (I haven't seen lane agility and sprint times posted yet fwiw)

- Jase Richardson going from a 6'3 combo guard to a 6'0 point guard without full time point guard skills hurts a lot there. Has long bois wingspan for 6'0 to counteract that a bit, but that's still tough.
- Asa Newell's list height of 6'11 being 2 inches off is bad, same with a very mediocre wingspan of 6'11
- Queen's almost 9'2 standing reach suggests that his post offence might actually survive NBA bigs despite not being a big centre.
- Ace Bailey not being 6'10 probably doesn't hurt his draft stock with the length, but 6'7.5 isn't as advertised.
- Maluach's numbers hold up, but I was way more interested in his lane agility and speed than his size tbh. It was lane agility that tipped us off last year to Edey maybe actually being a thing in the NBA.
- CMB is basically a 6'6.5 centre...jeebus
- Adou Thiero's wingpsan has to be a typo. 7'9? The 9 key is right next to the 0....gotta be

The biggest changes here imo is that it's a knock on the two guys I had listed 1-2 on my board. Don't know what to make of it yet, the rest of the combine scores will help a bit, but Drake Powell at 39 sounds like a pretty, pretty good idea.

weird standing reach though.

probably has a giraffe neck.

we had Fred OG Scottie tho.

Except we didn't...Fred was already gone, and also none of those guys are Tyrese Haliburton. Tyrese is a top ~5 offensive engine in the league. It's okay to pay Pascal to score 18/6 in the playoffs when you have Tyrese already.

Also fwiw, I forget the exact path but I think we ended up with Ingram, Shead, Agbaji, and Chomche for Pascal.
