With Christmas over the deadline rumours are starting to warm up
- Hawks are front runners for AD, with the rumoured package being Tingus, Risacher, Kennard and draft equity. Hawks have soured on Risacher's development apparently and are ready to do a very Atlanta Hawks thing. Would be nice to get into the deal to get Kennard tbh. GSW is interested as well but won't do Draymond with Kuminga, which is the only salary that would make it work. We've been mentioned, but the consensus seems to be that we're looking at more cost conscious/effective options and were just doing our dilligence on AD
- Darius Garland would welcome a trade, he doesn't like being the off ball guy watching Spider do his thing. Can't blame him really. He's good enough offensively to be an engine imo (not a great one, but a good one) and it's not like Cleveland appears to be championship good enough for it to be worth him taking a back seat.
- Clippers aren't willing to give up on the season and are looking to add an "impact" talent.
- GSW, Bulls, Clippers, Bucks, and Pistons are all interested in Michael Porter Jr. He's been legitimately amazing as the #1 option for Brooklyn and they want him to stop fucking with their tank. Fwiw, I think it would be a mistake for a team like the Bucks where the idea would be to bring him in to play off of Giannis like he did off of Jokic. Clearly being the guy seems to have unlocked something in his game. There is an injury risk (as well as him being dogshit defensively) but if you're a team like the Bulls who refuses to get bad and could really use a #1 offensive option, this is probably a really good gamble to take
