OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Also...no OG wasn't primary defender on Wemby, they brought in #TradC Robinson in to defend Wemby after KAT fouled out.

What you're mistaking here is that OG was the primary check for Fox, and KAT the primary check for Wemby. SAS runs a high P/R with Fox & Wemby, so on switches, yes OG was guarding Wemby. Because that's how switching works.

While being hard matched against maybe the best player in the world. Having a positive impact while being hard matched on Wemby is a fantastic contribution to a title.

19. Toronto Raptors

Chris Cenac Jr., PF/C, Houston
Freshman

Cenac appears to have stabilized himself in the 14-to-22 range, where he is under consideration for every team looking for at frontcourt help. Cenac is still developing his identity as a player and it will take time for him to become a contributor. But his physical stature and developing skill at 19 years old have helped to separate him in the predraft process. He is primed to benefit from other bigs like Johnson and Steinbach potentially rising into the lottery, as not every team in this range will want to select a guard.

The Raptors can go several directions here, with needs that include a long-term center, additional offensive creation and 3-point shooting. Depending on how the board falls ahead of them, this could be a landing spot for a guard. But Cenac could be a long-term fit.

I very much agree on the draft being wide open after 10-12. This is a draft where you could easily end up with the 11th ranked player on your board available at 19. I've seen good mocks with Cenac, Philon, Carr, Steinbach, Anderson, Quaintance, Swain all over the fucking place. I'm not even sure who I like at 19 because I would generally try to avoid players than I'm not seeing lower than 15 on a major mock, but I'm seeing all of them below 15 on major mocks. Also seeing most of them as high as 13-14 on mocks, with some higher.

My only real want here is that we focus on skill. If it's a big, we need a big who can shoot and handle the ball. If it's a wing, we need wings who can shoot and handle the ball. If it's a lead guard, we need a 3 level scoring lead guard. We need an infusion of basketball skill in the rotation.

I'd like a G that can actually shoot or a floor spacing big.

Based on my limitd knowledge, Carr, Anderson, Philon, Cenac, Steinbach are the ones i like most
