OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

I'm sure he has a gambling addiction, but you can't bet on your own sport if you would like to continue playing that sport. Even fucking ippei was smart enough to know this.

and the reason you have to be so strict on this point is to avoid even the optics or possibility of trying to fix the results, not to mention the fact that this imbecile was also actively involved in trying to fix the results.

Was curious how accurate it was so I looked. For the sake of the exercise, I considered anyone who made the all star game or an All NBA team to be an "all star"

2023: None yet (But Victor, Brandon Miller seem to be locks at some point at minimum)
2022: Banchero (Chet likely. A few out of Mathurin, Keegan, Williams, Duren are likely)
2021: Scottie (Cade, Green, Mobley, Franz, Sengun, Kuminga all with varying chances)
2020: AntMan, LaMelo, Haliburton, Maxey (maybe Bane or IQ in the future)
2019: Garland, Morant, Zion (RJ)
2018: Brunson, Shai, Trae, Luka, JJJ (Bridges, Bridges, Ayton, Simons)
2017: Bam, Jarrett Allen, Fox, Markannen, Spider, Tatum
2016: Brown, Ingram, Murray, Sabonis, Pascal, Simmons
2015: Booker, Kristaps, D'Lo, KAT
2014: Joel, Jokic, Lavine, Randle, Wiggins
2013: Giannis, Rudy, Oladipo
2012: Beal, AD, Drummond, Draymond, Dame, Middleton
2011: Jimmy, Kyrie, Kawhi, Thomas, Klay, Vucevic, Kemba
2010: Cousin, PG, Hayward, Wall
2009: Steph, Demar, Blake, Harden, Jrue, Jeff Teague
2008: Dragic, Hibbert, D Jordan, B Lopez, Love, DRose, Russ
2007: Conley, KD, Marc, Horford, Noah
2006: Aldridge, Lowry, Millsap, Rondo, B Roy
2005: Bynum, Granger, David Lee, CP3, Deron Williams
2004: Deng, Harris, Dwight Howard, Iggy, Jameer Nelson
2003: Lebron, Carmelo, Bosh, DWade, Kaman, Korver, David West, Josh Howard, Mo Williams

Shit, 2-3 is the minimum. There's kind of no such thing as a "bad draft" aside from it being a bad draft to tank for because the top 3-5 guys are mediocre or worse by top 5 standards

so, I love Kyle and all, but how in the hell is he starting in the playoffs on an alleged contender at this point? I just assumed he was a bench gun for Philly, but he is a starter! 5th in mins in the play-in. what a... shocking lack of depth. or maybe it's just Nurse being Nurse again, who knows.

Thanks to Jonas Valanciunas and the Pels our Pacers pick will now land between 16-19.

I’m still on the fence whether I hope we keep our pick or give it to spurs. I’m not sure we’re much better next season and if we aren’t I’d rather have that pick. It’d be awesome if we got 1st overall in the lotto. Sarr would be an interesting prospect to add to this group. I’ve seen projections kinda scattered between Claxton with shooting, Evan Mobley, Jaren Jackson, Myles Turner type.

It's really, really hard to not be a play-in level team without actively building your team to lose. Atlanta is in the play ins with 36 wins
