Luck plays a big part in getting above 70 wins. Knowing anything about the NBA before 1985 helps, but yeah if you don't get the spins you're pretty hard capped at 60-65 wins.

Like that 71-11 team...you got humped by getting Boston in the 80's late and already being stuck with Clyde and Zo, so not able to take Larry. Take Hardaway instead of Zo earlier (which is pretty unknowable, Zo is the slightly better pick probably) and you get Larry. That might be an 80 win team with Larry.

Yup i just had one with Jordan, Embiid, A Davis and Butler and got 2010's Denver and had to choose between Billups, Murray andi forget. Billups landed me 71 wins
