OT: World Politics

Yawn.

On 22 January, the members of the Emergency Committee expressed divergent views on whether this event constitutes a PHEIC or not. At that time, the advice was that the event did not constitute a PHEIC, but the Committee members agreed on the urgency of the situation and suggested that the Committee should be reconvened in a matter of days to examine the situation further.

The obvious concern is that if the Chinese government say that there are 2000 confirmed cases and 56 confirmed dead, how many are there really?

C'mon guys, it's just a silly beer virus

There were just shy of 8100 cases of SARS leading to just under 800 deaths in it's 8 month run. We're on day 6 and China is clearly lying about 2000 cases and 56 deaths.

We survived swine flu, you will survive silly beer virus. Chill bro.

WHO doesn't even deem it an emergency yet. You all go on about people not trusting the experts, the scientists, but health authorities from Canada, the USA, Europe, and the WHO all say that they got this under control, and you all are flipping out.

26 January, 2021, I'll remind you all about how stupid this overreaction was.

Depending on whose numbers you like, 500K didn't survive H1N1.

WHO doesn't even deem it an emergency yet.

It's been declared an emergency in China, but hasn't yet been deemed a global health emergency because there hadn't been enough cases internationally yet by the time of their meeting on Thursday. Since then, the amount of confirmed cased have more than triple, including cases in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney.

Well, the Chinese definitely don't have it under control.

You know, of all the things to be legitimately concerned about, you would think that any disease that pops up and has the potential of being a legit international pandemic would be one of them. So go ahead a chirp me in a year like I give a fuck what you think. If my concerns are founded, I won't care much about winning and internet argument over it a year from now.

100 percent going to chirp you. Mostly Zeke, but you will be there.

I also oddly trust the health authorities in Canada when they say that they got this. Silly me, trusting the experts over some people on Twitter.

I don't doubt that the pros at Sunnybrook and the public health professionals in Toronto believe that they're in control of the one case they're aware of.

I do also know though, that the case they're in control of was a 50 something yr old man who came from Wuhan and was symptomatic while on the plane and that they're "looking for" the people within 3 rows of where this guy was sitting.

We should know in the next 4 weeks if this kung flu is the real deal pandemic, or that the WHO has this disease under control.

The thing that worries me is that trump hasnt even used this to his advantage to take away the focus on him lololol.

Glad I live back in the bush. Lol.

If any of you would like to get away from it all for a few weeks .... I have 2 extra cabins that I would only charge the same amount that trump charges others for his rooms lol.

Have a great and safe week all and stay healthy.

Btw GM ..... it is cold and flu season right now .... but if you send me 100 dollars, I can send you 2 john the Baptist shower curtains that will repel any coronavirus with in the area.

Guaranteed to stop even the most determined viruses that can be bought. lol

Have a great day all.
And get well to those who have ailments.

If people would stop eating bats and fucking pigs and chickens, maybe we wouldn't be in this mess.

goddamnit, LeafGM.

The salient question here is, would Ozzy have had a career without it?

Secondary question: is LeafGM really Ozzy?!?
