OT: World Politics

Same can be said for 2017.

Same can be said for Brexit.

Yet despite that, Labour made gains in 2017. Brexit won.

You know what lost? Labour not backing brexit while Boris Johnson was willing to go to the ends of the earth to deliver it. Forget the media, the british people don't give two fucks about what pundits say.

It's remarkable he pulled 33% with the non-stop, multi-year 360 degree smear campaign. He got sunk by the new labour remainers but that smear campaign had a big affect too. His favourability scores took a big hit and I'd say that was difference between a Tory minority and majority. But if he just followed his own preference and went Brexit left, he'd have at least a minority gov right now.

Labour went after the young, woke vote.

Young woke, Urban Brits were anti brexit.

Labour never anticipated that the working class would leave them over Brexit. Turns out... They did.

Labour doesn't know what it is right now. Is it the party of environmentalists? The party of the working class? The party of young urban voters? Because that Coalition I just described don't like each other.

He was allowed to run. I mean, just the facts, mam.

But I guess if Mike Popeo tells you he wasn't then ... okay, let's have some bloodthirsty murderous racists take over.

Constitution of Bolivia say a president can only serve 2 terms. He was going for a 4th.

So... Not allowed to run according to the constitution. Not Mike Pompeo. The Bolivian constitution. And no, I don't give a fuck that his hand picked judges decided to ignore the constitution and say he could run forever. The Constitution says he should have stopped after two. It was just a bonus that he asked the people in a referendum if he could have more terms and the people said hell no. That has no legal bearing, but shows he did not have the peoples support in ignoring the constitution.

So he wasn't allowed to run via the constitution of Bolivia. So his Party needs to find someone eligible to run, which is really simple, just find a man or woman who hasn't served 2 terms as president of Bolivia. That's probably 99.99999 percent of ths population.

Funny though, all these Bolivian constitutional experts had nothing to say about this before the election -- only after an extremist right wing coup, backed by their favourite US administration making these same claims to justify the coup.

The audit was supported both by governments that backed Morales, such as Mexico

Go ahead, call Amlo a neo liberal right winger or some shit. Go ahead.

and the "right wing coup" as you put it, has promised elections.

Evo has gamed the constitution already, and tried to steal an election. All that matters now is that this government remains provisional, and that a fair election is held that abides by the Bolivian Constitution.

Ya, I don't even have a problem if the people want the movement for socialism to win again. Just name another leader.

Yeah, same. Want an Evo clone, or Evo's handpicked successor? That's their right. But stacking your top court to get favourable rulings to allow you to sidestep the constitution is banana republic shit.

even Putin stepped aside and let Medvedev run the show for a while in accordance to the Russian constitution. Its not unheard of.

So, no problem with violent protests by people who got very little popular support (including burning elections offices to the ground), used the military to threaten the president and install a leader whose party had 4% support and has since been flogging and threatening political opponents with violence, sending out death squads to take care of same, is overtly anti-indigenous racist and has told them to stay out of the cities or else ... and now they promise elections. You're all good with this.

But former president gets judicial approval to run and wins the election (despite what the Trump administration and their puppets have told you) and that's a big problem for you because you think it was unconstitutional.

Pardon me if I don't take you seriously.

I'm perfectly okay if the mitary steps in if the President is going against the constitution and trying to rig an election(Confirmed by your good friend Amlo)

According to the constitution, the vice president would be the next in line but Evos guy ran.

So next in line is the head of the senate, which is the party with 4 percent support. Not great, but those are the rules.

I mean, I get it, the constitution is just an annoying document that gets in the way of true socialism.
