it is still significant (and IMO the right thing to do at this point). Israel's (former?) allies are leaning really hard trying to influence Bibi, and this is a pretty big step from one of Israel's most steadfast allies.

now, do I think the message will be received and there will be any impact? sadly, no.

my brother and I were texting each other about the plan to occupy Gaza this morning. quite literally at the same time we both messaged the other to say Bibi is gonna turn Israel into North Korea. scary fucking times. especially if you're a Gazan civilian, or an Israeli hostage (and their families).
 
I think certain wealthy Russians knew they’d never see a rouble and invested to forestall a “tax irregularity” investigation.

It’s insurance, of a kind.
