Lesnar is fighting Orton at Summerslam, should make it a triple threat at UFC and add Orton in haha

Dc is still fighting. Dana is going to announce his opponent later today.

Lots of speculation its going to be Mousasi seeing he is on the card already

Lesnar vs Hunt is trash. I'm sorry. This isn't 5 years ago.

Nunes vs Tate should be a good one.

I'm super excited for the Gadelha vs jedrzejczyk fight. Joanna is going to destroy the brazilian cheater. Can't wait.
 
No fight with Hunt is trash.

Reports are Cormier has two options. Silva for a 3rd non-title fight or Mousasi for a title fight

...and this is the key emotion of the average mainstream fan.

Which is what's key for Dana.....the amount of fans they'll lose because Jones is out, is extremely minimal. Lesnar was the big draw no matter what, and still will be. It's why Dana so easily removed Conor from the card.....having both he & Lesnar on the same card, (assuming Dana had a feeling at that time that he'd be getting Brock).....wouldn't have made any financial sense. Both sell way more total PPVs by being on separate cards, than doubling down and having them on the same one.

Hardcore fans were tuning in no matter what.....Jones loss will ultimately be very very trivial in terms of PPV sales.
 
Hell, I'm more interested in a Mousasi or Silva versus DC fight than I would have been the rematch.

Take away all the pomp & circumstance of the UFC hype machine and the remath was kind of a boring predictable matchup imo....Jon was gonna walk through DC again anyway....


I'd f*cking love to see Gegard get a shot at DC....I'd be hyped for that.
 
Imagine Silva or Gegard taking out DC. The 205 would be turned upside down

...being able to keep it standing against DC, is far from a guarantee though, obviously.

Hard to cheer for Joanna after watching the Ultimate Fighter; she was a big **** through most of it and Claudia was an awesome coach and a really chill person, I understand why she through that cheap shot at Joanna now. Still respect Joanna as a fighter but I have to cheer for Claudia after watching the show.

Also the two finale fights should be terrific, all 4 will be in the UFC after this as they're all very talented.
 
Eddie Alvarez was such a legend tonight......been following him since I saw him live in his 9th pro fight, here in Vancouver, nearly a decade ago....followed his career ever since....through Japan, in DREAM...back stateside with Bellator....then finally getting a break in the UFC.....and now 23 fights after I originally saw him, he lights up a top 5 P4P'r in RDA to finally capture UFC gold.


Brilliant performance by Eddie....and a well f*cking earned Championship.
 
Great card in general. Loved the Joubin Muhammed fight as well and sweet jesus Nelson can take a punch.

Silva opens up at +400 agaisnt Cormier. I think I'll take those odds and throw down 50 bucks on it.

Joanna with the huge win. Gadelha just couldn't last long enough. She got gassed after the 2nd round and Joanna went ham with the strikes.
