Phil Kessel

"spellcheck" is not a compound word. What you're looking for is "spell check" police.

Carry on.
Don't mean to bother LoF at "work" and all, but the word "police" would also denote a group of people. Hence, the correct phrase would be "the spellcheck police are even out for this one."
Ok, now you can get back to "work," LoF.

We're now 28 games into the season, and Kessel still hasn't gone back to back games without a point.

Such a streaky player.

factoring in his ppg performance to close last season(30 games), Phil is on one hell of a "hot streak"(an idea which many, surprisingly, are still clinging to)

could last years...

Nah, habsforever told us the Leafs were lucky. We have to assume that Phil being the best player on the team has to be the luckiest as well. So, I think it's nothing but luck.

more like the "let's try playing Phil with legit top 6 forwards" era.

This.

If I'm not mistaken, he's been on a 100+ point pace since he was put on a line with Lupul...and we're talking about ~60 games now, so not an insignificant sample size.

It's time to start accepting that Phil Kessel might just be the most talented forward this franchise has had since, well, Charlie ****ing Conacher.

Hmm, who was that guy who was attacked for saying that when we first got him? Said this guy could lead the league in scoring? Nah, couldnt be? Even Cneely joined in and said that was nuts, he wasnt that good. Ahh, the land of short memories. Now everyone is on the bandwagon.

Dare I tell anyone about Frattin once he gets comfy in the NHL?

You're one to talk. How's Schenn, lately? Flip... flop... teeder... talk....

That would be selling short the likes of Sundin, Gilmour and Clarke. We've had a few more gems along the way than your statement implies, but generally, it is correct that Kessel certainly is the best to come along in a long while.

It warms my heart that Al Strachan currently doesn't have a job. Hard to believe that at one point, Steve Simmons wasn't even the worst sports journalist working for the Sun.
