Playoff GDT: Round 2, Game 4 Canes @ Flyers 5/9 6:00

Gotta remember that the Flyers barely got in by beating the Hurricanes (in name only) to qualify, then Philly beat out the shell of the Penguins to get to this round. Ottawa was flat-out overmatched and out-classed by the Hurricanes. All eight wins count, but the real competition hasn't started yet. Celebrate the wins, don't lose focus, get Aho rested up for whatever's ailing him and work on the PP in the meantime. Wooooo!

Win, lose or draw, this is why I say the Canes still need a true #1 center. He ain't it.

Good thing Philly has a shit powerplay. Or this series could be going 6 games.

Not to pile on, but in the event that the Avalanche manage to match win for win, they're certainly going to claim that the Kings and Wild were tougher opponents than the Senators and Flyers. Probably even more if they lose a game or two to the Wild. *EDIT* so yeah, the Wild won.

Anyway, the Canes have set their own personal best playoff winning streak at 8, their previous best coming (naturally) in 2006 when they won four straight against the Canadiens and then another three straight against the Devils in the second round. We know how that one turned out, so here's hoping...
 
I was watching some post game tonight and I am constantly amazed at how if Florida was in the playoffs, we’d not have a chance. Anyone else hearing this or is it just me being hyper sensitive?? The panthers were a nonfactor for half the season yet TNT still finds a way to insert them into Carolina’s sweep of the Flyers.
