Playoff GDT: Round 3, Game 4 Canes @ Habs 5/27 8:00

Dobas was why I'd rather have faced Buffalo.. if he continues like this Montreal has a bright future.. but stop for this year..
The coaching. MSL rolled 3 lines instead of 4 too often and gassed his team. If you can’t trust your fourth line you’re toast.

We were thinking of selling our tix... going for almost a grand a seat in sideline sections... but the chance to close out round 3 -- I guess we're going!
I had no choice but to sell our tix for Friday night as we will be out of town. I'm not going to complain too much though given how much we were able to get for them, they sold 2 minutes after that game ended tonight. Get it done Friday boys!!!

Just food for thought, Habsy, this covers a Habs comeback too so this is for informational and planning purposes only:

Good morning, Caniacs, from Copenhagen! It's been nice to wake up in Europe to news like this twice on my trip, even if three cities over five nights has been a little exhausting.

Looking forward to being back home in the States on Friday night and watching us close this series out!
one of my favorite towns. TiVolk gardens was a blast for the kids.
theres an underground restaurant just off the pedestrian way called St. Gertrude’s.
a great place to eat, good food, good atmosphere.

Haha. Now who’s frustrated. Your boys are frustrated because they’re losing and resorting to goonery.
They are definitely frustrated and getting chippy for sure. I don't think I'd call it goonery though. TBay and Buffalo were far worse in every single game we played them. This is pretty typical playoff "extra curricular" activity.

I don't love it, at all. This is what happens to every frustrated team... and usually it's worse. Even that penalty to Anderson for "punching" Chatfield was pretty tame. He kinda pushed his head more than punching.

That stupid penalty Danault took, while dumb didn't appear to be an sort of attempt to injure. He could have locked his arms and drove his stick in a lot harder, but he let his arms give. Thankfully of course, that would have been super dirty.

I definitely would prefer that they take their frustrations out with clean hits though.

Last night Montreal looked like the Canes against Florida last year. The Habs are good, but the soul had been beaten out of them. That said, I've been very impressed by the games in-season and prior to game 4, so I expect Friday to be a tough game. I hope it stays hockey and not WWE.

Call whatever the heck Anderson was doing in the 2nd period whatever you want but don’t bother waiving it off as frustration. I get that it’s difficult when you get your ass kicked like that, especially at home. You know what doesn’t fix that? Acting like a spoiled child and glove-punching everybody in sight on dead pucks … after plays where you did nothing. Making excuses for it is part of the problem. Go hit somebody. Get a guy to fight if you can. Act like a grown man. He got that penalty because it was the second shift in a row where he waded into it late and started glove-punching random guys. You freaking HAVE to call that eventually, and that’s not on the refs. That’s on Anderson for being a petulant jerk. Same crap with Danualt. He knows what he's doing out there, especially on that second dip into Staal’s head he took. He may not be trying to hurt him, but he ain’t trying not to hurt him either. This is a guy with almost 800 NHL games. He knows better but felt free to indulge himself because … what? He’s frustrated?
