Agree and disagree. Agree that Molson is a complete buffoon but also, you can’t give Bergy a pass on everything. A real owner would’ve fired Bergy 2 years ago. A real GM would’ve went all in, all out or at least started making some big moves to change the culture. The odd move here and there to swap or replace guys but still essentially the same damn team that can’t score especially in big games. It’s exhausting.

You talk to Hall, see what he would be willing to sign for, then create the cap space. I already saw a rumour that Byron and 3.4 million salary could be moved out tomorrow. Tartar also has been mentioned as possibly being moved. Bergevin will make the room if Hall agrees to sign.
Habs now also have an equivalent PK replacement for Byron in Anderson.
I give Hall the benefit of the doubt on the 16 goal season, he did send half the season in Arizona where offence goes to die. I’m all about adding more talented wingers to play with KK and Suzuki, which Hall is. But I would not break the bank for him. If he wants big money, then only a 2 or 3 year contract.
