Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2021-22 Edition

I was told Habs would never trade Gallagher as recently as 24 hours ago. I ain't predicting it but never say never. All the elements are there for a standoff.

why?
Bergevin has proven to be a hard ass in negotiations before; Gallagher probably feels like he deserves to be rewarded for playing at a discount all these years. Gallagher has never done well in the playoffs, and that probably is also weighing on Bergy's mind.

I forget the term you used way back when MB dealt Gorges after that playoff run in 2014 - akin to MB being a cold hearted killer.

But also remember Markov... MB is stubborn and if he has a $$$ in his head, and Gally's agent is too far from it, then it's a big problem.

IMO it’s got more to do with term than $ -I suppose the two are intermixed...the agent probably asked for more $ if the term was shortened.

Bottom line, no one is getting paid close to Price’s neighborhood...

Not many players have done well in the playoffs under MB

I think Habs want 4 maybe 5 yrs max, agent looking for 7 yrs. Money they are probably close.
