When they first were super popular, they were pretty good. After you took out the middle piece of bread.Third piece balances the bite perfectly. Just pure genius.

I tried it fairly recently for the first time, and I was horrified. I respect it and understand it, but I also hate it with a passion. Can't imagine there's another burger out there that I'd dislike more than this one.

It's a hard meh as a burger, a relic of a time where we had no taste in food. Small, skinny patties with nothing going for them other than being press fried beef disks served on 1 bun too many, with a burger sauce that is actually a fucking mediocre salad dressing rebranded.
But the meat isn't the star of the show. And the big mac is extremely self aware and acknowledges this. The differentiating features are the sauce and extra bread. I get it.
