Don't have apple news, so didn't read....but the US has always monetized it's hegemony and the growing spread between the EUR/USD is proof of what happens when the US abandons the old deal.

Well, yeah. They always monetized it… just like FB, Google, etc always monetized their services… but most of the eshittification takes hold only after you abandon any shred of former ideals
