McCann is a better offensive player at 5v5 than landeskog over the last 2 years.

He's scored at a 20gl/50pt pace the last 2yrs at ages 23 and 24. Not sure what the issue is.

Landeskog is exactly the type of player that GMs consistently, grossly overpay on the UFA market

It has probably been pointed out, but McCann is a former Soo Greyhound that was drafted by Kyle Dubas and played for Sheldon Keefe. Doesn't seem like the profile of a guy they would have acquired just to lose.
