Good: Aside from the obvious choices, I'll go with Malholtra.. worth is weight in gold the way he's been able to win key faceoffs late in games.
Nice balance on all 4 lines, able to generate chances 5-on-5 like we haven't seen in decades, makes a hell of a difference and is allowing these comebacks to happen.
Bad: Weaver & Gilbert aren't very good, we need Tinordi & Beaulieu to earn their way pass them in the depth chart sooner rather than later if we want to have anything approaching a decent defense by playoff time.
If either Subban or Markov, who are holding this rag-tag defense together, goes down for any length of time.. we're in deep trouble.
Ugly: The CH defense's penchant for taking themselves out of the play by dropping to the ice in failed attempts to block passes/shots :banghead:. Weaver has been brutal with this all season, yesterday Emelin did an homage to him with a completely useless slide that allowed the 1st COL goal as it was passed back to his man for the tap in as he was getting back up. At this point I want JJ to sit the next Dman that slides down for no reason, it should only be used as last resort, and even then if you don't know how to time it well (looking at you Emelin).. just don't both bother.
