The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Game 6 - Avs vs Habs

We are playing like a team that has only 6 games under their belts this season. We are 5-1. Take a chill pill people

I think we have become so used to complaining over the years, that we can't break the habit. Having said that, they do have to play better especially on D. Silver lining is we are winning anyway and even though Price has not stolen any games. Things should only get better.

Yep. We have enough skilled players to score now. To play like crap and still win. They are going to get better and better. I like it

Wow never thought I'd see the day....solid post!

Bergevin & his team have done a very good job, he's one more good (ripoff) trade from making this team a perennial threat.

Still waiting on yours, but I'm sure it will come...some day.

Good: Aside from the obvious choices, I'll go with Malholtra.. worth is weight in gold the way he's been able to win key faceoffs late in games.
Nice balance on all 4 lines, able to generate chances 5-on-5 like we haven't seen in decades, makes a hell of a difference and is allowing these comebacks to happen.

Bad: Weaver & Gilbert aren't very good, we need Tinordi & Beaulieu to earn their way pass them in the depth chart sooner rather than later if we want to have anything approaching a decent defense by playoff time.
If either Subban or Markov, who are holding this rag-tag defense together, goes down for any length of time.. we're in deep trouble.

Ugly: The CH defense's penchant for taking themselves out of the play by dropping to the ice in failed attempts to block passes/shots :banghead:. Weaver has been brutal with this all season, yesterday Emelin did an homage to him with a completely useless slide that allowed the 1st COL goal as it was passed back to his man for the tap in as he was getting back up. At this point I want JJ to sit the next Dman that slides down for no reason, it should only be used as last resort, and even then if you don't know how to time it well (looking at you Emelin).. just don't both bother.

It was an entertaining game but the Avalanche should have had 4 goals for sure. They fanned on 2 gimmies earlier in the game and then Price made that ridiculous leg save in the 3rd... so lts of work still to do on defense.

Moen is clearly one of MT's pets... I am sure Weise can bring more.

Gallagher was a beast once again with the puck. A 5th round pick-up that every team in the league would want on their team. Love it... and us west coasters told ya so.

Our PP was absolutely dominant.

2 more points.

You could also say we could have had more as well.

Then I would say the Avs could have had more on top of the 4 they absolutely should have had. They literally fanned on 2 open nets and Carey's leg save was spectacular.

I think we were the better team though just that our defense has holes galore.

Should make alot of our games "interesting"
