The Official 2026 Off-Season Thread: Revenge of the Nerds

“First, all glory to God,” Blankenburg said prior to Nashville’s game in Utah on Thursday. “I mean, I wouldn't be here without Him and just the strength that He's given me over the years to just keep on pushing."

I'll pass on him

Shea is interesting. He came out of nowhere with the most points of his career last year in both the NHL and AHL. Is he Raddysh or was that a fluke that won't be replicated?

Blankenburg, I'm skeptical of dudes who can't keep a full-time job. But he's a midget so maybe the explanation is as simple as that. I think he would have been an option as the 7 in the Stecher role but that dream's as good as dead.

Kaliyev is interesting. He had a dominant year in the AHL but didn’t get an NHL shot cause I think there was some off ice issues. Talented guy that won’t cost anything.

Idk how much appetite I have to add more shitty d tbh. Unless they're trading Mo, I don't see much space. Aim big or just focus on forward depth. I'm good with Kaliyev, cocaine and all.

Stecher extension was decent as well. Can bury it if needed and he's a way better #7 than Myers. Also have Danford/Villeneuve waiting as depth. I would only add to the D now if were upgrading top 4
