The eye test is the best if you can watch every single game played by every single player.

But you can only watch so many players, in so many games. The analytics fill that incredible gap.

So yeah, as a Leafs fan, you personally didn't need the nerdies to tell you to get rid of Carlo and Benoit.

But how do you know which replacements to acquire for the price you are willing to pay?
