Interesting... I always liked Win-or-go-home games. The more, the better.

But there are only 5 or 6 championship-contending teams each year, so more average teams getting beaten by better teams in the playoffs might make those games less interesting. OTOH, we might get sweet, sweet early-season conference matchups that will be appointment viewing, as 3 or 4 losses will get you in the playoffs (and fewer no-chance matchups)
