Too Much Starch (Podcast)

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

Sorta got my questions right... decent pod cast. You kept your segments up till the Q&A to a very good lenght

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

Solid job... I pretty much agreed with your answer to my Price question. I was however surprised to hear you say that he's kind of a dick. That's literally the first time I've heard that about him. Is that a thing? Maybe I just haven't heard it.

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

appreciated Dave

Just to clairfy I know the grass is staying its more the stadium share/slap in the face of the soccer community.

also the leafs/raps/tfc/jays Q's was more about attention in the spring and what the casual sports fan will be paying attention to. More your thoughts on if the offseason the jays have had will hurt the jays in building any momentum this spring because not nearly as many will be paying attention due to the success/buzz of the other teams.

I should have clarified...i think the way he handles himself in the media as cocky can come off as dickish...but very very minorly...it's literally the only thing i can think of in regards to habs media disliking him ( if they in fact still do)

A lot of the Habs media prefer Francos.

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

I may be far too big of a fan to see it. I actually thought he was viewed as a super "chill" guy with a good, dry sense of humour. I have never detected and arrogant/cocky vibe from him.

Again though... perspectives change when you have a man crush on a guy.

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

Price has always struck me as being far more aloof and indifferent than cocky or arrogant. Cool as a cucumber.

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

I don't know i think his dislike for the montreal media can come across in interviews which may be the "cockyness" that jonas is seeing

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

What I'd like for you guys to do next is list off a bunch of the rumored names, big or small that you think could be moved at the deadline and we will give our take where or if they get moved.

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

If you need more, how about running through what you think each team in the NHL will do or not do and maybe even add in what you think they should do. That's a whole show right there.

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

Yeah I think a trade deadline show pretty much writes itself.

The obvious one. Where's Kesler going and what's the price?

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

Do the Blues have legitimate Stanley Cup aspirations now that they've added Ryan Miller between the pipes?

What sort of return do you think Buffalo can receive for guys like Stewart, who was acquired in the Miller deal ostensibly to be dealt for other pieces, and Moulson?

Is there any foreseeable way that Garth Snow keeps his job after his shambolic performance in trading away what could potentially be a top three draft pick in the Vanek deal?

Re: Too Much Starch(Podcast) Episode 11 Q&A edition

To be fair, that pick is top 10 protected. The Isles can choose to keep it... but then they have to give up next year's pick... and that could potentially be McDavid.

Oh I know, Ray. I was making that question under the assumption that the Isles would confer the pick this year to avoid the misery that missing out on McDavid would result.

But then again the Devils chose Stephane Matteau over a top ten pick so... :lol
