With Nylander’s 2 PTS midway through the second period tonight, even if he doesn’t add to that total, he’ll be at 15 PTS in his last 15 GP.

He didn't add anymore as he didn't finish the 3rd on the bench. He left part way through and never came back.

I went to the game and it was exciting.

-Leipsic picked up a hatty, Frattin had 2 goals.

-Loov is the best Marlies defenceman.

- McLaren sucks

-Bibeau was okay, better than the Flames' goalies but he was fighting the puck all night.

- Leivo had a good game, also met Leivo's dad.

- Marlies scored 4 PP goals, which is amazing considering they have the 30th ranked PP.

Marlies are now a point ahead of Hamilton and 2 back of Milwaukee for 8th...if the Marlies win all three of their remaining games they'll make it.

I think the Marlies have the margin to lose 1 game in their remaining schedule and still make the playoff. But if they lose more than 1 (or 2 points) then they'll probably be out.

Nylander had a dominating game, and Leipsic had his best game as a Marlie ... it's not just he scored 3G, but he was very effective in all 3 zones.

Bibeau was pretty bad in this one, but to be fair, this is his first start in WEEKS. The Marlies have been riding Gibson really hard to a point I think Gibson was really burnt up in the last 2 games. I hope Gibson gets his much needed rest and play strong for the remain of the schedule.

Marlies are in 9th, two points back of Milwaukee with 2 games in hand. Milwaukee lost last night.

Nice to see Leipsic get onto the scoreboard in a big way. He's been struggling pretty badly offensively since his first few games with the Marlies.

Then Nylander continues to look like a stud. Him, Reilly and whoever we pick in the first round this year are definitely looking like the foundation of our rebuild.

As per Marlies head coach Gord Dineen, they'll be deciding today whether or not Rinat Valiev will join the Marlies for the rest of the season, with his junior year over.

The Marlies are pretty overloaded on D already, and they're in a desperate fight for their playoff lives. Might not be the best time to toss a rookie onto their blueline.

Also, injury update on Nylander: he was taken out as a precaution after getting hit in the face, but he's fine and not expected to miss any time.
